Handcrafting your piece: Because each item is unique and made to order, I personally begin the woodworking process, ensuring the structural integrity of your item.
Applying custom details: I carefully apply your chosen finishes—such as Ebony, Natural Oak, or Bold Pink—and integrate your free personalisation through precision engraving.
Quality inspection: Every item undergoes a final check to ensure it meets our artisanal standards, from the polished copper rails to the weather-treated timber on outdoor stations.
Delivery Expectations
Handmade timeline: As these are not mass-produced off-the-shelf items, lead times can vary depending on the complexity of your custom request.
Safe transit: Your item is securely packaged to protect its handcrafted details, such as the 43cm tall hanging arms or delicate copper end-stoppers, ensuring it arrives in perfect condition.
How should I look after my new wooden or copper item to keep it looking its best for years to come?
Caring for Your Wooden Elements
Indoor items (spice racks, key holders, etc.): Dust regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sprays, as these can damage the hand-applied finishes like Ebony, Oak, or Bold Pink.
Outdoor items (bird feeding stations): While we use new, fully treated timber designed for durability against rot and weather, a fresh coat of clear wood preservative or outdoor-grade oil once a year will help maintain the wood’s integrity and colour.
Pet feeders: Wipe down the wooden base promptly after spills to prevent water spots or staining on the timber.
Maintaining the Copper Rails
Polished finish: Our signature industrial copper rails and decorative end-stoppers are designed to be a standout feature.
Cleaning: To maintain their shine, wipe the copper bars with a damp cloth and dry them immediately.
Natural patina: Over time, genuine copper may develop a natural patina. If you prefer the bright, polished look, you can gently use a copper-specific cleaner, being careful not to get the solution on the surrounding wood.
Stainless Steel Bowls
Hygiene: The double dog feeder includes two high-quality stainless steel bowls.
Dishwasher safe: These bowls are easily removable and can be placed in the dishwasher for effortless cleaning.
What should I do if my item isn't quite right, or if it arrives damaged?
If your order isn't quite right or arrives in a condition you didn't expect, we are committed to making it right.
Damaged Shipments
While we take every precaution to package our items securely—protecting the fully treated timber and industrial accents—accidents can occasionally happen during transit. Please check your item as soon as it arrives. If you notice any damage to the woodwork or copper components, reach out to us immediately so we can resolve the issue. If an error occurs on our part regarding the craftsmanship, we will prioritise a replacement or a repair.
Personalisation & Custom Orders
Because we offer free personalisation tailored specifically to your requests, such as a pet's name like "Pippa" or a specific memorial quote, these bespoke items are generally non-returnable unless they are faulty or damaged. We encourage all customers to verify the spelling and layout of their requested text before placing an order to ensure the final engraving is exactly as intended. Unless found to be faulty or damaged upon arrival, we cannot accept returns for items that have been custom-made to your specifications.
Cancellation Policy
For non-personalised items, if you change your mind, please contact us within 24 hours of placing the order. Once the handcrafting or engraving process has begun on a bespoke piece, we are unable to cancel the order.
